Annual Pumpkin Fun Run is BACK!

Our 9th Annual Pumpkin Fun Run, sponsored by MU Health Care, will begin at 8 a.m. on September 25th at Albert-Oakland Park in Columbia. 

This is a 1.4-mile run/walk around the fitness trails and is open to all Boone County students grades K-5. Parents and teachers are also encouraged to participate.  There is a $10 entry fee for students, which includes a t-shirt and registration packet.  Parents and teachers run free (does not include t-shirt).

The fun doesn’t stop at the race itself, not only is it a fun event for family, friends, and faculty, but it gives our participants the chance to win $500 for their school’s P.E. Departments! The three schools in each enrollment category that have the highest percentage of students participate will win $500 for their physical education department.

“We’re excited to host the Pumpkin Fun Run and appreciate the support of MU Health Care,” said Dave Fox,  Show-Me STATE GAMES Executive Director. “The Pumpkin Run encourages kids in our community to take part in an event of health, fitness, family and fun while also building school pride.”
