Did you know that the Show-Me State Games utilizes more than 500 volunteers over the course of the Summer?

That’s right! As the LARGEST state games in the nation, the Show-Me State Games relies on its outstanding volunteers to make the Games a success! The Games would not be possible without the amazing individuals and groups who dedicate their time and energy to make the Games run so smoothly!

Our volunteers come from all walks of life – retirees, youth, families, sororities, businesses – it is this wide variety of people that make our volunteer base so amazing! We don’t require our volunteers to work a certain amount of hours or to have any knowledge of the sport. We simply ask that our volunteers show up on time, with a smile, and ready to have fun!

Many years ago, we started our Corporate Volunteer Program, a unique program that gives local businesses, organizations and groups the opportunity to get involved in the Show-Me State Games through volunteering. This program is a great opportunity for people to connect with each other in a meaningful way outside of the everyday group setting. With 12+ volunteers, your group will receive recognition at sport sites around Columbia by having your logo printed on the back of your volunteers’ t-shirts.

At the end of the Summer, we recognize all of our amazing volunteers at the Volunteer Appreciation Banquet. We honor volunteers who went above and beyond with awards and everyone has the chance to win door prizes.
